I am watching a movie (only because the roomie is) called Equinox. This pile of cinematic.. something is comparable to the works of Wells and Kurosawa. That would be Benny Wells, the weird guy who picks up the dog poo in the park, and Stinky Kurosawa, the Japanese guy who spends all day at the bus stop having philosophical debates with the fossilized gum on the bench.

This film was budgeted at 6,500 dollars. I'm guessing that was spent entirely on booze to keep the crew and actors drunk so they'd forget they were making this schweinerei.

See! The amazing morphing hair-dos!

See! Frank Bonner aka Herb Tarlek in a role he'd probably like to forget!

See! A film that aspires to the level of artistry that was Manos: The Hands Of Fate but sadly falls short.. way, way, WAY short.

Good God, this movie is crap on a stick.

This picture is very bad. However, it is a VERY important film in movie history. "WHAT!!" you say? Let me tell you a little story.....

The movie Equinox is the brainchild of Dennis Muren, it was his student film. If you don't know who Dennis Muren is, you are a film history IDIOT. Just a partial list of films that would NEVER had happened if it weren't for this man.........

Star Wars, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, E.T., Jurassic Park, The Abyss, Terminator 2, Dragonslayer, and a little T.V. show called Battlestar Galactica

He is the ONLY special effects technician with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. He is a living legend.

Quite obviously a devotee of Willis O'Brien and Ray Harryhausen, too. On yeah, Muren is a legend.
