A hypothetical count by Karl Rove puts Obama at 313 electoral votes, 43 more than needed to win.

With Powell endorsing Obama this morning, I think it's time to get the lawnchairs and popcorn ready. This, if all holds as at present, is going to be so very, very sweet.

I truly hope you're right. I'm trying not to think of the terrorist attacks they could arrange, the financial catastrophe they could engineer, the voting fraud they could commit, the electoral votes that could be finagled, and any other thing that could go wrong, making the people's choice lose the election. When I think of the fact that we could have had Gore and Kerry, both environmentalists, both highly intelligent, as presidents and yet instead we got the current goons, I lose faith in the entire process.

I hope Obama wins, and I hope he restores the Republic.
