Hell is a place much like Ohio

Ah, the pure soul-shrivelling nightmare that is Ohio living. I don't know about you, but if I saw this while I was out on a casual stroll, I think I'd have to race back home, sell all my clothes, and move to a mountaintop in Nepal to contemplate my navel.

That looks less like corn and more like a giant turd in a jumpsuit.

Kinda reminds me of all the pirate statues in Greenville, NC.

I liked Toronto's Moose statues much better...

This has been a trend in public art for a few years now. I think New York was the first with bulls and bears.

In San Jose, we had sharks. After the local NHL franchise.

In San Francisco, it was bums. Oh, wait.. those weren't statues. Massive amounts of ugly public art cost less.

If it's any consolation... we have PRAIRIE DOGS here in Iowa (thankfully it's not my home town or I might have to do what you suggested above). Said prairie dogs are decorated in all possible manners. Unreal.

Cows of Chicago, FINE. Leave the concept ALONE already! *grin*

Kaiserslautern, Germany has fish.

So far I'd agree with the poster who preferred the Toronto moose, though I haven't seen the original Chicago cows.
