Gleh

When I see the skinny little goit who's going to be the next Doctor, I despair of the once vaunted casting department at the Beeb. Of course, I said the same thing about "Jarvis Cocker in space" and he's done well. Maybe I need to get that audition tape made.

I just really wish they could have gotten The Marquis de Carabas Paterson Joseph. *sigh* :)

Love you.

Apparently he gave a HELL of an audition. Moffat et al admit they went into casting *expecting* to cast someone older, but Smith just blew their socks off.

Give him a chance, huh?

(I swear, it's Peter Davison all over again, sometimes...)

Oh, I will. Just the way they're going the next Doctor will be a bloody great fetus.

The way I see it, he must be really amazingly fantastic to get the role with so many strikes against him (his age, he's kind of funny-looking, etc). I bet he's got some really great energy. They haven't really cast a lame one yet; even my least-favorite one had his moments (not gonna name my least favorite so it doesn't start a pointless debate).
