What do you do when one of your punk rock heroes is one of the brain dead jackasses who think Joe (You lie) Wilson and Glenn Beck aren't clods, who buys into the whole Obama as Hitler nonsense and is otherwise a pretty decent guy?

I don't think you can be 'otherwise' decent if you buy into that shit, dude.

I'd just ignore it and enjoy the music (I had to with Johnny Ramone).

When I find out disturbing things about people who's work I really like, I try to go into denial, but my damn brain won't let me. I usually end up excising their work from my life. Which is why I never did finish the Bean series from Orson Scott Card. I'd vowed that I wouldn't give him any more money (I will buy anthologies with his stuff in them, 'cause there are a lot of writers I like who end up in anthologies, so it balances), but I tried reading something from the library and I just couldn't give him space in my brain.

He's kind of nuts an extreme example though. Wrt the person in question, I'd probably keep listening to the old stuff but not buy anything new.

Love you. Lots.

Nope, not Glenn. The guy Doyle replaced, Bobby Steele.

I knew it wasn't Danzig
