Just got done watching. I can't have been imagining it, but you know Timothy Dalton was having the time of his life chewing scenery like that.

Matt reminds me strongly of Troughton.

Tennant wins the decade awards for "least believable entrance", plus "most scenery chewed".

and the Time Lords turn out to be galactic scale assholes.

"and the Time Lords turn out to be galactic scale assholes."

Oo, there's a shocker he said drily. So am I to gather they resurrected Rassilon to fight the Time War whereupon he immediately regenerated it would seem.

Looks like it...mind you, given that Rassilon chucked Omega into the negative anti-matter universe during the kick-start of the Time Lord time travel process [something about creating blackholes], he was a massive dick to start with...

Still, I get the feeling that the TimeLock isn't as secure as it's meant to be next season.

I rather hope we've seen the last of The Master for a series at least. He was in danger of becoming overdone. Not as badly as poor old Delgado was, but when he does come back it'll be interesting to see how he's played because finding out his whole life has been one big Time Lord manipulation has got to change him. I'm not necessarily saying he'll become goody-goody, but he can't ever be the same again.

I think I'm done with DW. I was waiting for my pony there - that maybe Rose would find a way to get Ten out of there, and Ten 2 would take his place, and...and...but no, no pony for me. I got socks instead.

So his reward is death after the chance to say goodbye. Suckage.
