Oh, holy God..

I just talked to our lawyer. They want 3449 by tomorrow morning or out we go. I can't think. I can't process this, and God help me I've got to call Ranada and tell her and I think I may need to explode when I do.

Holy shit, dude. Is there anything your lawyer can do to help delay the process?

He tried, God knows he did. But that's their position. Ranada's going to snap. I might. I don't know what the hell to do.

If you were able to get a loan of some kind for the amount they need, how long do you think it would take for the business with ACH to be sorted out to the point where you get the money back?

[identity profile] docwebster.livejournal.com 2010-11-01 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I honestly don't know. At worst, we could pay the loan back over a period of paychecks but where are we going to get a loan like that at this late hour?

Your bank should have copies of all automatic payments made. Demand a copy of these records. That's my advice.

That's my thinking. Go and DEMAND to speak to your bank manager, and if possible, bring your lawyer. If your bank has been making your automatic payments to somebody other than whom they were supposed to, then they need to give you an accounting of why and put that money back into your account. If they have not been making the payments to anyone AT ALL, but taking the money out of your account anyway, then they need to return every penny of that money, plus fair interest, to your account TODAY. And if they HAVE been making the payments to the correct place, and the payee has been losing them, misfiling them, or outright lying, then they need to provide you with a witnessed, notarized statement TODAY that the payments have been made on your behalf, in good faith, on time, as directed.

This.

Also, your bank sucks if they don't send you detailed statements each month.

Small donation made - wish it could be more.

You have a lawyer trying to help, I don't know the law in your neck of the woods, logic has nothing to do with this and advice, no matter how well meant, will just add to the stress level. So none of that. Just hugs, and wishes for justice to prevail even at this late hour.

Sending prayers, lighting candles.

Prayers and good thoughts on the way.

I hate to suggest one of those overnight payday loan places, but it may be a last hope. My best to you both.

I also can only give a small gift - it is all I got for my Federal tax return. I know it cannot solve your problem by itself, yet I hope that, combined with others, it can help. Bless you all very much.

Bless you, sweetie.

Good God!

$3449 is their idea of a "good faith payment?!"

Lawyer up and media up. This story needs to be told. It's a crock that you're going through this. $20 is all I can really afford right now, and I've tweeted in regard to your situation with the link to your blog. Go to every media outlet you can about it. Bad press might get those companies singing a much more acceptable tune.
