Earlier today, as I was cleaning this pit of an office, I was struck by divine fire and put together the following set of songs, mixed it via Virtual DJ Studio, recorded it via Sound Forge into one whopping great mp3 thence to be recorded to CD. The resulting set will be premiered this Saturday night on Radio Nosferatu, but for those twonks who can't/won't be there, or are just too damn impatient, here 'tis. I hereby dub this The Divine Set, in honor of the aforementioned Kooshball for reasons which should be obvious. ;)

2. Taco - Puttin' On The Ritz
3. Z.Z. Top - Sleeping Bag
4. Level 42 - Lessons In Love
5. Duran Duran - View To A Kill
6. Pseudo Echo - Funkytown
7. Journey - Worlds Apart
8. The Bangles - Hazy Shade Of Winter
9. Midnight Oil - The Forgotten Years
10. Eddy Grant - Romancing The Stone
11. Billy Idol - Dancing With Myself
12. The Call - Everywhere I Go

Damn.

I've always thought Animotion's "Obsession" and Garbage's "#1 Crush" should be blended together somehow...

I'm not entirely sure, but...

Wasn't that the playlist from the pilot episode of NBC's "Friday Night Videos?"

Excellent list! I actually have heard, recognize, and like most of the songs here. (The Bangles cover of Hazy Shade of Winter is one of my favorites.. playing right now, as a matter of fact.

14. Opportunities - Pet Shop Boys

Any reason this was Song/Artist rather than Artist/Song?

evanescence -- bring me to life

three doors down -- kryptonite

mixed over a hip hop beat from mobb deep (quiet storm)
