Oh, for the love of all that's holy

So SixApart bought LJ.

Big fucking whoop-te-do.

To hear people's reactions to it, you'd think LJ had been bought by Microsoft and was forcibly being converted to LivejournalXP.

Let me ask the grand assortment of Chicken Littles this: have you ever known [livejournal.com profile] bradfitz to be an idiot? No, you say? Wellllllll, then..

Get your heads unburied from your sphincters and quit being so damn panicky, already. As [livejournal.com profile] bradfitz has said time and again even before SixApart became part of the picture, this is his baby and he wouldn't sell it if he didn't think it wasn't going to be just fine.

Get a collective grip, will you? Jesus.

Hello.

My name is Ethel and I live on Mars. I drive a chicken.

Tom DeLay is either a complete fool or a raving asshole of epic proportions

Or, dear friends, all of the above.

"The Hammer" had this to say at the 109th Congress prayer meeting:

"A reading of the Gospel, in Matthew 7:21 through 27.

Not every one who says to me, "Lord, Lord," will enter the kingdom of heaven; but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

Many will say to me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name?"

Then I will declare to them solemnly, "I never knew you: depart from me, you evil doers."

Everyone who listens to these words of mine, and acts on them, will be like a wise man, who built his house on a rock:

The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew, and buffeted the house, but it did not collapse; it has been set solidly on rock.

And everyone who listens to these words of mine, but does not act on them, will be like a fool who built his house on sand:

The rain fell, the floods came, and the winds blew, and buffeted the house, and it collapsed and was completely ruined."

Now, I know there's no evidence he was talking about the tsunami. But he was either tactless to a degree not seen since the days of Attila The Hun, or he was talking about the tsunami in which case he's pretty much saying those godless heathens got what they deserved.

I mean, bloody hell.

Change of plan for this weekend's shows

As much as I love Phantom, I find I'm more in a Zappa and SugGenius sort of headspace. That sound good to you lot?
