Radio Nosferatu Update - Playlist update in progress

I trimmed the playlist down and am reloading the station playlist on the main feed (as opposed to the backup feeds I use for shows) as we speak. What that means to you the hypothetical listener at this point is the next hour or so is going to be pretty skippy. Not to worry, though, as I've got a couple episodes of The SubGenius Hour Of Slack queued and skippyness might actually help it make more sense, eh Phin?

At any rate, I myself will be on about 7ish eastern and I'll post in here when I'm rollin'.

PRAISE BOB!

O'Reilly: "What I said needed to be said"

Appearing yesterday on a conservative San Francisco radio show, Bill O’Reilly offered his first public comments since being criticized for saying he would approve of an al Qaeda terrorist attack on the California city.

O'Reilly: I mean, look, everybody knows what’s going on there. What I said isn’t controversial. What I said needed to be said. I’m sitting here and I’m looking at a city that has absolutely no clue about what the world is. None. You know, if you had been hit on 9/11 instead of New York, believe me, you would not have voted against military recruting. Yet the left-wing, selfish, Land of Oz philosophy that the media and the city politicians have embraced out there is an absolute intellectual disgrace.

You want to know what's a disgrace, Bill? You. Fuck off and die, you miserable piece of shit.

Radio Nosferatu Saturday Night - Live from Missouri, it's Saturday niiiight!

Cut and pasted from last night 'cause I'm lazy like that but note I'm back on the main Radio Nosferatu feed for the dialup folks tonight.

It's 80's, Gothic and Rocky Horror Internet Show favorites weekend on the show. I do believe you'll enjoy the mayhem, folks.

Now, requests will be taken tonight but on a case by case basis instead of pretty much automatically entered into the queue like always. But feel free to make them - and make them anatomically feasible, eh?

Get listenin', join us on Undernet IRC (which is being splitty tonight and I'm on Montreal.Qc.Ca.Undernet.org for those as want to know) in #rf-callahans abdd/or AIM or Yahoo IM (I'm on as docwebstr on both), and let's get this mayhem underway. Note: #RadioNosferatu on Undernet IRC is having fits so don't bother joining that channel until I give word all is clear.

Oh yes - for those on Yahoo IM who have those new emoticons that come with their own audio track, *do not use them when msg'ing me as the sound goes out over the stream*.

The best thing to use to listen to the stream is Winamp, of course, and you can find the version I myself use here.

NOTE: Just right click and Save As, then run it to install.

From there, it depends on what kind of connect speed you have:

Dialup, I'd go with the Low feed. DSL and above, I'd try the high feed first.

You can also use RealPlayer 7 and above, as well as (as far as I know) Windows Media Player 9. As far as WMP goes, I haven't tried it with any of the earlier releases.

The absolute best way to listen in, at least for me, is to find whatever command your player uses for Add URL or Open URL, something like that.

With Winamp, it's Ctrl-L and you cut/paste one of the two addies in, hit open to exit the URL window, and hit play. You should be good to go from there.

If you want to make requests, go to http://rhis.2ya.com and off on the left hand side of the screen is a link to PlayList & Requests. Go there, click on the style of music you want, click on the Request link by the song you want and hey presto.

Anyway, let's do this thing.
