it may be a prelude, but really, all it says is "you don't get financial aid in college if you didn't register with selective service" - which, by law, should have been done when you turned 18 anyway.

registering is from what 1974? this isn't a new thing - just trying to not give money to people that didn't register like they were supposed to.

timing and whatnot is fishy:) and yeah, it may be in prep for a draft - but in that case, they've been preparing for 30 years, this isn't hardly anything new.

That's been a law for some time now. I was initially denied federal financial aid due to the post office not processing my selective service application.
