Capitol Police Sgt. Kimberly Schneider said Sheehan was charged with unlawful conduct, a misdemeanor.

That "unlawful conduct"? "Referring to the number of Americans killed in Iraq, the shirt read, "2,245 and how many more?''"

That's right, folks - this miserable sack of sputum and his thought police just made it illegal to wear anti-war t-shirts. I can't wait to see how the scumsucks and their apologists spin this to even vaguely try and explain how wearing a t-shirt is illegal. I mean, to heck with that whole free speech thing, right?

Too damn true. Thing is, I've seen people denied access to the polls until they removed the campaign button they had on. I'm pretty sure this falls under the same thing, given the nature of the business that goes on in the capitol building.

I had heard initialy that she had tried to unfold an anti-war banner. I wish someone had unfolded SOME sort of banner. Check out revbri and amnormand's LJ's for photos of the protest outside or the Capitol.
